Darryl Evans JP was raised and educated in Wales. He has lived in New Zealand for the past 21 years. Darryl has been the CEO of Mangere budgeting Services Trust for the past 7 years, guiding the organisation through significant change and growth.

Darryl’s past employment have included: Housing NZ, Parliamentary Services, Poly-Emp, Workforce Personnel (providing employment opportunities for intellectually disabled persons) and Kelston Deaf Education Centre.

Darryl has built a strong reputation fighting for people’s rights in New Zealand and is often the first port of call by mainstream media. Darryl writes regularly for Spasifik Magazine on money related issues.

Darryl and his Cook Island / Samoan / Maori partner of 16 years have one child of Maori decent.

Darryl’s Interests include family, friends, politics, autobiographies, travel and good food.

Darryl is currently studying for a National Certificate in Maori / Mauri Ora at Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
